Genre: Pop/Post-hardcore
For Fans Of: The Glory Game, For Higher Ground, In League.
Probably the most
recent song from Lakeview, yes it has been on the past two releases but it's
re-worked and finished for their full-length coming out this summer via arkaik
records. This song clearly shows more maturity and more of the mixture of
pop/post-hardcore genres in one song. I really did enjoy this song honestly, i
cannot wait for the full-length from this band hopefully they haven't lost
their touch or anything if the album didn't sound like this or past releases, I’d
probably cry (Seriously). You can clearly hear some huge improvements
on the song from past releases. The lyrics are really catchy and the vocals
show the mood they're trying get through.
The instruments kind
of improved on the pop and somewhat the post-hardcore sound to make it flow a
little better.
I was actually
really surprised that arkaik signed Lakeview, but i guess it's a
great choice on their part. This band seems to have a lot of hype behind them.
The pop sound is more in this song it sounds like then it was before but that
makes it more worth the while to listen. This song could seriously never get
old to me or to anyone at that manner.
Breakdown:
Cleans: The clean vocals
improved on this song. I would say the
clean vocals are one huge thing that sticks out in this band then it would in
any other band the clean vocals just sound so good with the flow of the song.
Screams: The screamer
was good before and his style only got better with this song.
Instruments: Sounds
like a pop song mixed with post-hardcore, which is really cool. The instruments got
a bit better in places that it lacked, huge improved in all around honestly.
