Debut EP from SycAmour, this band is definitely something that brings a lot of originality into the music scene. Honestly, there wasn't a listening to this that I regret, this band definitely has a sound behind them that will turn heads, when you first listen to the ep, you literally have no idea what you’re going to listen to or what to expect from this band but when it hits you, your jaw already dropped and your amazed at how much talent is in one band, the vocalist has a lot of tricks up his sleeve with his style it’s just something else. A few songs that kind of stand out on this album would have to be, Nooses (On The Looses), Rain, Chloroform, Set Fire To The Rain. Nooses (On The Looses) is my favorite on this ep to listen to for the reason of the little rap breakdown that’s in the middle of the song, it’s very random and unexpected but none the less it catches you off guard. Another really good song on this ep would be the Adele cover, Set Fire To The Rain this is the song that kind of got me into SycAmour, the clean vocalist just kind of blew me away when I first listened to the song on youtube and I could tell from there they’d get somewhere in their careers with that sound behind them.
Breakdown:
Cleans: The clean vocals are just… They’re breathtaking the style, the sound of the vocals, it’s just something really unexpected for this genre but it definitely sets them apart in the genre pretty well.
Screams: The screams differ in sound, the lower the scream the better for this band, the highs are okay but I’d personally take the lows over the highs any day.
Instrument: The sound behind the band is something else as well as the clean vocalist, the sound varies from heavy to soft, which isn't a bad thing but really sets them apart in a really good way.
