"Vices" is Into The Flood’s debut album, and I was jaw-dropped the first time I gave this a listen. As soon as you start the album, after "Vices" you get right into the music and the vibe, that Into The Flood is trying to give out in their music. I’d have to say that Into The Flood has some spine chilling vocals, because of the range of the vocalist. This album is thirteen songs of bone chilling drum play, spine chilling vocals, and some seriously heavy riffs! I can say so much about Into The Flood, and how they’re getting the listeners attention on their debut album. I’d honestly have to say that this album is going to turn some heads in the music business, and hopefully land this band a nice spot at the top. Into The Flood, made a good impression on me, within three songs on this album. I can only hope that they do that to everyone else who gives this album a listen, too! One thing that I found that Into The Flood does in most of the songs on this album, is at the end of the song they lead right into the next song. Which does them some good for their music, and gets the listener ready for the song a little bit early. If anything, I would have to say that Into The Flood, will be one of those bands that I’ll follow for a long period of time to see how they grow, and expand their musical influences, because to be honest, after this album ends, I kind of want to know how they’re going to amount to this album, and see how they’re going to change musically. A few songs that kind of stood out on this album would have to be "The Destroyer", "Mirrors", "Regret", "Your Judgment Is What Condemns You", and "Eye For An Eye". "The Destroyer" is the first song on this album after the intro, and I’d have to say that Into The Flood brings the heat into this, and pours their energy into this song. You can kind of tell that the vocalist put everything into this song with his vocals, to make the album start off on a good foot, and get your attention perfectly. "Regret" isn't only one of the stand out songs on this album, but one of my honest favorites from this band, because of the meaning behind it. What I can tell about the lyrics, and this may or may not be fully true, but it sounds like the vocalist regrets a friendship, and that this person used to call him his brother, and now they aren't on the best of terms so that changed completely.  "Regret" also has some of the nicest guitar play, in my opinion, on this album. Then again, there’s a lot of good songs with instrument play on this release. Into The Flood out did themselves, and wrote a debut that’ll be the talk of their fan base for a long while. "Your Judgment Is What Condemns You", is one of the first songs I’ve heard from this band, and it instantly got me hooked on this band. Their sound kind of stood out to me
The energy, and emotion added to their music sounded too good to be true. I really honestly think that Into The Flood has a bright future ahead of them, and I cannot wait for their next release, if it can amount to this or get better than this.
Breakdown:
Screams: The screams on this album are absolutely phenomenal. They’re bone chilling, Spine chilling and just over all some of the best screams, and growls you may ever hear from a band like this. The first time I honestly heard the screams, it gave me some Goosebumps.  I won’t spoil much of the screams on this album, because they’re definitely something that should be heard. The screamer uses many different styles on this album, which does the band some over all good, and makes this release even better than what it is. Using many different styles always has the listener guessing, instead of using the same vocal style in everything which always leads up to getting really boring to listen to, and hear. Into The Flood knew that, and did the exact opposite, to have the listener’s full attention on every song, and for them to want more, and more from them. The main thing about the screamer that I think is highly enjoyable, is the high screams, because you can hear that it’s the highest their vocalist can go, and it just sounds downright amazing.  The lows are my favorite thing on this release. The vocalist just has a really good range with his screams, and makes them sound stunning. He’s definitely one of the most talented screamers that I've heard in a while. I can only hope that this doesn't ruin his vocal cords anytime soon, because with something that sounds this sick, there needs to be a lot more of it.
Instruments: The instrument play on this album is astonishing. There is no bad instrument play at all on this album. In full honesty, the guitar play, the drum play, everything is just so nicely done and placed in the song extremely well. Some of the breakdowns in the songs, you could say are as spine chilling as the vocals. Which only makes this band even better. The main thing I like about Into The Flood instrumentally, is the guitar play. The guitar player definitely has some talent with his instrument, and knows some amazing tricks with it too! Some of the riffs on this album are just out of this world, and the overall sound is phenomenal. In full honesty, if this band can write one more release as good as this one, or even better than this one, they are surely going to blow up and become one of the biggest metal bands! They have some serious talent, and they definitely know how to play instruments, and make stuff that’ll keep making you want even more, and more from them. I can definitely see this band blowing up real soon!
