Second album and the self-titled from Boys Hits Car, this album is shorter than their debut album but they definitely got a bit better in a few places where they lacked, still a solid album to listen to. The lyrics got a bit more vulgar that’s for sure, but who doesn't like some vulgar lyrics here and there? Boy Hits Car is definitely one of a kind and a really good band, their sound makes you kind of want to get up and punch things repeatedly and break stuff. They have a great sound behind them for sure and their lyrics are great too, just kind of vague to listen to. A few songs that stick out on this album would have to be, I’m A Cloud, Man Without Skin, Going To Indie, Before We Die. Man Without Skin is my favorite song on this album because the way the overall sound is, the guitar riffs are pretty great to listen to something different it kind of has a let’s break things type of vibe which is pretty nice to hear, definitely something you could mosh to at a show. Before We Die was another great choice for an ending to their album it was mostly everything an ending needs. The vocal tone is really soft which is somewhat interesting to hear.
Breakdown:
Cleans: Their vocalist kind of matured a little bit on this
release he’s still impressive as he was on the last one, kind of improved a lot
in places where he sort of lacked his vocals are still great. If he matures a
little bit more he could definitely become one of the best in this genre.
Instruments: the overall sound is pretty good on this album,
soft/heavy mixture of the two on songs which is neat, still has that break
stuff feel on most of the songs though.
