Designs debut album “Only Time Will Tell” for a post-hardcore band, this band surely does brings the aggression for the scream vocals, the clean vocalist has that high range, but it only makes them sound a bit different and better, the two vocalists make a great vocal team that’s for sure. Listening to this album I have to say I was pretty impressed with that they’re bringing into the post-hardcore music scene, the first song was highly impressive and definitely expected to listen to. This bands overall sound is impressive as well, as well as it is kind of catchy. A few songs that kind of stood out on the album would have to be, Carpe Diem, I Once Dated Hatred, The Base At The Royal, Carpe  Diem was probably the best song to have as  intro to the album and one of the best on the album when it comes to screams a few other songs have the type of scream on Carpe Diem, but near the middle the screamer does something that I’d have to say is new to me, and I wasn't expecting it at all but it made the song seem a bit interesting and could benefit them, he did kind of a rap style scream, not really rapping just really fast type of scream. The breakdowns in some of the songs are impressive to their overall sound is impressive and could land them a great deal in their careers. I’d like to see where this band goes in their careers.
Breakdown:
Cleans: Design’s clean vocalist’s range is kind of high, but it seems a lot of post hardcore bands have this type of a range, but everyone has a different voice this just makes the range different for every band that does this which Designs clean vocalist has a style that is interesting to listen to.
Screams: The screamer definitely has a different type of screams which is pretty cool he does this type of screams in some of the songs where his screams are sped up and kind of sound sort of like a rappers voice just in screaming form.
Instruments: For the most part the songs are pretty heavy, some may differ with their heaviness and go into the soft, but who doesn't like diversity in their music? It does the band really good too and makes the listener more into the music the drumming is something that really caught my attention though.
